Ethiopian Green Building Council (ETGBC) is a leading organization in the construction industry in Ethiopia. Based in Ethiopia; it was established on August 5, 2019 is the first nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable building practices and driving the transition to a greener and more environmentally friendly built environment.

Our mission is to advocate for green building design principles, practices, technologies, and operations while enabling objective measurement and recognition of green buildings. We believe in raising awareness about global warming and its impacts, fostering the use of sustainable building materials and techniques, and creating a better future for all through sustainable construction practices.
